What is Awakening?
The 'Cycle of Awakening' is an up-and-coming fantasy series, with book one, 'When Blood Burns', currently in the editing stages. This multi-novel series will be set in a familiar, yet unique, fantasy setting. The first novel will follow the story of several key characters as they embark on their own journeys - both sides out to avenge the death of their parents in a conflict not their own.

'When Blood Burns' Synopsis:
The world is broken. Magic is fading. The ancient races have vanished. Only humans and dragons remain.
Far from the capital, on the outskirts of human lands, twins Kai and Mara know little of the world’s troubles as they faithfully serve their oaths to the Order–a small sect of humans empowered by the blood of dragons. But with nearly 100 years of peace, the blood coffers dried up long before Kai and Mara joined. With the power to avenge their parents out of reach, Kai especially grows restless.
Whispers soon spread of a strange sighting in the mountains, a group of hunters waylaid by a woman with inhuman qualities, her eyes burning with vengeance, her voice asserting dark thoughts in the minds of men. And somehow, her arrival seems to be directly connected to Kai and Mara.
Peace will not last. Revenge will not forget. And before it’s all over, blood will burn.
